Call for Students (has ended)


We are looking for STUDENTS with a keen interest in the topic 'OPEN BORDERS'.

Selection criteria:
- Bachelor and Master students between 18 and 26 years old;
- Students from different fields of study (economics, law, sociology, philosophy, history, political science, any artistic discipline, etc.) are encouraged to apply;
- Fluency in English is a must;
- Open-mindedness and team spirit are essential;
- The students must be available between 30 March and 2 April (days of the Conference: 31 March-1 April plus 2 days for travel);
- The students must demonstrate keen interest in the topic of ‘Open Borders’ and must be committed to study this subject prior to the Conference. "The Golden Wall’ project will present the selected students with different statements related to the ‘Open Border’ theme, so that they are able to prepare themselves properly for the Conference. This will be done via email and skype;
- The students give their consent to be filmed and accept that the images filmed at the Conference can be used for the video installation and documentary ‘The Golden Wall’.

Financial aspects:
- The costs related to the students' travel to and from Subotica (Serbia) will be covered by 'The Golden Wall' project.
- ‘The Golden Wall’ project will also cover the costs related to the students' stay in Subotica (accommodation, meals, local transport when necessary). The students will receive a student contract (which will include insurance) for the 2 days of the Conference.

About

'The Golden Wall' is part of a special art project initiated by BOZAR, Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, in the context of 'NEXT GENERATION, PLEASE', an exposition which took place in May 2016 and which concerns how a new generation is reflecting about Europe.
